My background in performance began on stage, where I spent six years developing my experience through theatre. This was followed by two intensive workshops at Cours Florent, with a particular focus on acting for the camera and cinema.

Today, I am continuing this work in New York through acting classes at Columbia University while developing my experience in front of the camera.

I am particularly interested in cinema, independent filmmaking, short films, and character-driven storytelling. I am drawn to projects that explore complex emotions, human relationships, identity, and the different ways individuals experience the world around them.

ASPIRATIONS / ARTISTIC STATEMENT

My profile may initially seem somewhat unconventional : I work across both acting and modeling, while this portfolio currently showcases primarily photography and modeling projects. This reflects the work I have completed so far, rather than the full scope of what I am looking for. Now based in New York, I am seeking opportunities in both fields, from film and screen acting to modeling and commercial work.

For me, these two disciplines are much more closely connected than they may initially appear. Modeling can be understood as a form of immediate character work: within a single photograph, a model must embody a character, an attitude, an emotion, or a concept in a matter of seconds. Acting in theatre or cinema extends this same process over time, allowing the character and their inner world to develop throughout a scene or an entire story. Yet, at their core, both rely on the same fundamental elements: posture, intention, physical presence, what is conveyed through the body, and the ability to fully inhabit the character or concept being portrayed. I see my experience in modeling as an extension of my work as a performer, and my acting training as something that naturally enriches my work in front of the camera.

Coming from theatre, photography, and an academic background in psychology and philosophy, I have always been interested in the ways people experience the world, construct their identities, and relate to one another. For me, acting is not simply about performing a character, but about exploring different perspectives and entering experiences that exist beyond one's own. I am fascinated by the process of observing people, understanding what motivates them, and transforming those observations into something authentic on screen.

I follow the work and ideas of artists who have taught me to look at performance in this way, and I try to make their observations and knowledge my own through the way I approach each role. I am particularly inspired by actors such as Charlie Chaplin, whose work, beyond its iconic status, makes the cinematic translation of storytelling tangible through movement, expression, and physical performance, often without the need for dialogue. I am equally fascinated by actors such as Johnny Depp, whose ability to disappear into characters that can be radically different from one another represents, to me, one of the most exciting possibilities of acting. The idea of moving from one character with an entirely distinct physical vocabulary, rhythm, voice, and diction to another at the opposite end of the spectrum is one of the aspects of the profession that attracts me most.

I am also deeply interested in the work and teaching of Jean-Laurent Cochet, particularly in his distinction between acteur and comédien. I find compelling the idea that an actor should not simply aim to deliver a text perfectly, but rather allow themselves to disappear behind the character, that the performer ultimately serves the character rather than drawing attention to themselves as a performer.

Cinema is particularly meaningful to me because of the relationship it creates between the performer, the camera, and the audience. I am interested in developing my work across different formats, from independent films and short-form projects to larger productions, fashion films, and commercial campaigns.

My ambition is to build a career based in New York, while collaborating with filmmakers, photographers, brands, and artists who value creativity, ambition, discipline, and authentic storytelling. I am looking for projects that challenge me, allow me to grow, and give me the opportunity to bring something genuine to the screen.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Alongside my artistic work, I have an academic background in psychology and philosophy. I hold a degree in Psychology and am currently completing a Master's degree in Philosophy of Science, with a particular focus on the concept of time in the work of Henri Bergson and Albert Einstein. This academic background has influenced my interest in human behaviour, perception, emotion, and the different ways people experience reality, questions that naturally connect with my approach to performance and storytelling.
